Working on the BIM team to help model mechanical and electrical elements for project deadlines

Drafting Legal advice to internal clients, working with lawyers and providing ad-hoc support with their tasks, reviewing and marking up contracts for projects Arup are working on.

My role as an apprentice technician involves 3D and 2D modelling using CAD software to deliver models and technical drawings to clients. This also involves a wide range of smaller tasks, such as BIM reviews and quality assurance checks

As a civil engineering apprentice, day to day use a lot of CAD and BIM softwares. Help with technical drawings and 2D, 3D models. Work on a range of civil structures projects.

For my role i primally work with civils 3d to create and edit drawings for projects.

At first there was a lot of training. Once the basics were covered, my day to day at work varied but was typically some form of 2D or 3D modelling.

Day-to-day I am usually in the office working on different drawings, whether that be creating, amending or printing and work on a range of projects prioritising different ones on certain days.

Answering legal queries for members in Arup outside the legal team. Carrying out contract reviews, flagging up anything deemed to be a risk from a legal standpoint and suggest any amendments that need to be made in the contract to the project team.

Assisting engineers by providing technical support to consulting engineersin different disciplines on projects. Use of 2D/3D CAD software, production of CAD drawings ensuring outputs meet standards.

BIM design for electrical, mechanical and other services' equipment on various buildings of all types and sizes from around the world. Spatial planning, creating schematics, layout designs and general electrical design work are regular tasks in this job....

I work with engineers , to complete tasks such as markups , modelling and creating drawings. I use software's such as AutoCad, civil 3D and bluebeam

I handle drawings and models using software, and I edit them to meet specific requirements after receiving and sending them. In order to create educational drawings, I also conduct research and create models from scratch.

I assist engineers with work needed such as drawing support, organising and tracking to ensure submissions are due on time as well as helping to document and check work to ensure they're up to correct standards.

Working with a team and more senior engineers to support them in engineering work.

I use software to handle drawings or models, i will receive and send of drawings/models and i will edit them to follow a set standard. I also model things from scratch and do research to make informative drawings

My daily responsibilities include revising drawings to make sure they are ready for the next step of the design process, updating CAD drawings, and meeting with project managers and project leads to ensure that the targets are being met.

Updating CAD models, talking with engineers and making their ideas and services visible and understandable for other members of the team and also clients.

I work primarily on the detailed design of water civil projects, using CAD to create the drawings that will later be sent to the contractor.
