My role consists of managing change project within insurance underwriting

I am a Commercial Underwriter within the Existing Business team in RSA's National Trading Centre. On a day-to-day basis I look at Property & Casualty cases coming up for renewal, write up rationales for them, speak to brokers, and issue terms for renewal.

Designing and working on e-learning content, powerpoint designs and answering queries relating to content and management of an LMS system

Underwriting Property, Liability and Packages risks. Working with stakeholders to meet company goals such as rate/retention targets, building rapport with brokers, etc.

I assist the underwriters with their work by helping with pricing tools and logging new business quotes on the systems. I also shadow in broker meetings and general day to day work of the underwriters

Day-to-day constits of a standard underwriting role. Cosnidering and evalutating risks that come across my table in commercial PPL. Investigating issues, queries and linking in with broker frequently to build a relationship.

Assistant underwriter in Marine. Consists of filing, risk management using pricing tools + researching different risks.

My role involves studying for my CII exams whilst also gaining experience within underwriting and risk managements. I am expected to widen my exposure and utilise my team members for support and their experience.
