As an ambulance support worker, which is also known as emergency care assistant. In my role I am able to assist and support frontline clinicians caring for urgent and emergency patients and care for patients during transportation to or between destinations. First-respond to emergency incidents.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoyed this programme because it involved written and hands on learning which made it really exciting. We were all able to take part in group activities which I believe really enhanced my learning because we were all able to learn something from each other.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have gained plenty of skills and knowledge overtime, e.g. Basic life support, First Aid, Patient assessment (Vital signs), Radio communication, driving emergency vehicle and learnt how to use medical equipment.

Structure and Support

5/5
The programme was very well organised to give us enough time to revise and prepare for our exams and OSCEs.

5/5
I get plenty of support from my employer/ Team leaders to help me progress in my career and to assist me with everything I need help with. Which I am very grateful for.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The training providers give us all the revision papers and the materials we need to excel towards passing our apprenticeship and also allow us to stay behind after class to revise or to ask extra questions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
After finishing this qualification I had a good understanding of anatomy, physiology and emergency care protocols, enabling me to make informed decisions when required.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
