Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

The role is to assist the clinician in making decisions about a patients care through carrying out observations and asking people questions about the situation. The role also allows you to talk to a variety of different people from lots of different back grounds.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme very much and the learning is always ongoing and you learn something new everyday whether that is medically or culturally through talking to people from different backgrounds.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots of new skills as a result of doing this job that I have never needed to use before this role. Skills such as observation taking, treatment, basic and advanced airway management are just some of the skills that I have learnt as a result of the apprenticeship.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Programme is structured well however it is an intense training period to start with. The training course is fast paced and there is lots of new information being taught all at once.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support offered to you as an employee is vast whether that is from your manager or other crew mates, support is always offered and designed to help you in the best way possible if you require it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

You receive good support from the academy if it is required, they are always on hand to give you guidance if you are struggling with completing tasks that are required for the apprenticeship
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The training provided for the qualification allows you to complete the job very well as the academy give you all the information required to carry out the job to a high level.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are several that are available sports such as rugby and football teams are available along with running clubs too.

I would advise anyone to just commit fully to the experience. The more you engage and put into the job role the more you get out of it.
