Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role on a day to day basis within EE was primarily to handle frontline customer care calls into the mobile department of EE customer service. However, recently I have moved on towards becoming a ‘Lead’ where I have helped my team leader bring on board and train up a group of new hire employees into the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy the programme that I am on as part of the realise apprenticeship and as part of the Aspire programme within EE. I can see how much effort and time goes into these programmes being launched and ran - and I feel thankful for the time that is being put into my own personal learning to help develop me individually.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt many new skills during my time at EE and I feel like I have certainly learnt to develop my existing ones as part of this apprenticeship scheme - all of which having been useful within the role that I do now and they will definitely help me in the future team leader role that I am aiming for.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I believe now at the current time it is pretty well organised. There was a time period at the beginning of the course where things seemed a little less organised (I.e not receiving invites to meetings/sessions, things being scheduled for my days off etc) but that has all seemed to have been ironed out now and things seem to work more structured and smoothly.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive all the support I need from my employer and more! Whenever I reach out for help or advice, whether that be from my team leader or operations manager, there is always someone that I can go too who will do their best to support me if I ask for it. They will always ensure time is put aside for me to develop my learning as well.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive good support from my training provider as well as my employer. I feel like I always get the required resources that I need and we always ensure that we have a monthly catch-up/review to look at where I am currently and what I need to do to ensure I progress further.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel like the sessions I’ve had as part of this programme have certainly motivated me to perform better and have helped me in much of my day to day roles by introducing me to new skills and new ways of thinking that I may have been blind to seeing before I started this programme.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Each year we get allocated a certain amount of volunteering time to use where we can get out and do various things to support our local community. This can be done individually or as a group as part of a team. Most recently our team went to help a local charity shop warehouse for the day to organise their stock.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BT Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend EE to anyone who was looking for a new job because I truly believe that the culture within the business is such a positive one and they do truly care about the welfare of their employees. They are on the way to becoming one of the best companies within our industry and each day I am proud to be a part of it.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT Group?
A tip I would give to someone applying for EE would to just let their own personality shine through, EE encourages people to just be themselves and as part of our personal culture it creates an environment where people can thrive and enjoying coming into their place of work each day.
