Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
In my role, I provide analysis and insights to inform commercial strategy, collaborating closely with Marketing, Data, and Trading teams. I support base management strategy, help define KPIs, and create the Base Management Reporting pack. I work on campaigns to reduce churn and improve customer lifetime value, tracking performance and results. Day-to-day, I identify portfolio opportunities with Propositions and align with Trading on long-term base management, requiring strong cross-functional collaboration and strategic thinking.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement. I had the opportunity to own multiple campaign projects, working with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Sales and Trading. This involved leading on campaign planning, providing analysis, and presenting insights directly to them.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
Yes, I received a lot of support and guidance during my placement. I had regular one-to-one check-ins each week, which provided space for feedback and development. I also had a personal development plan tailored to the skills and milestones I wanted to achieve, with monthly reviews to track progress and identify ways to reach my goals. This structured support really helped me grow both professionally and personally throughout the placement.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture and atmosphere were very positive. There was a strong focus on maintaining a healthy work-life balance, ensuring employees weren’t overworked and felt supported. The environment was collaborative and inclusive, which made it easy to connect with colleagues and feel part of the team.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed my placement. I learned a lot through hands-on experience and had the chance to meet and work with a wide range of stakeholders in my area. The people in the office were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Research BT’s values, ethos, and slogan etc, and reflect on how your own experiences align with them.
