Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a daily basis, I assist customers by answering questions, guiding them to the right products, and helping with sales transactions. I also support the team by keeping the sales area organized, ensuring products are well-stocked, and assisting in setting up displays. I work closely with senior sales staff, learning different sales techniques, managing customer inquiries, and handling some administrative tasks like updating sales data. Over time, I’ll become more involved in closing sales and contributing to meeting sales targets.

As an Apprentice Sales Guide, you’ve gained several new skills and developed existing ones. Product knowledge is a major skill you’ve built, as you've learned the details and benefits of the products you’re selling, helping you better assist customers. ive also honed your customer communication skills, becoming more comfortable engaging with a variety of customers, addressing their needs, and answering questions effectively. In addition, you’ve developed sales techniques, learning how to pitch products, handle objections, and close sales in a way that resonates with different customer types.

I feel that my qualification through the training provider has significantly helped me perform better in my role. The structured learning and practical modules have provided me with a solid understanding of key sales principles, customer service strategies, and product knowledge. This has given me more confidence when interacting with customers and allowed me to approach sales with a more professional mindset. The training has also helped me develop problem-solving skills, and the hands-on experience gained through the course complements the day-to-day responsibilities of my role, making me more efficient and effective in my work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are a few extracurricular activities at work that I can get involved in. The company often organizes social events, like team outings, holiday parties, or casual meet-ups, which help build camaraderie and strengthen relationships with colleagues. These events provide a great opportunity to connect with others in a relaxed environment outside of the usual work setting.
