Primary Purpose of the Job

The role of Network Development Analyst Undergraduate would not only be to collate and analyse important decision making Rent-a-Car data, but to present this data to important stakeholders and decision makers across VWFS and VWG. This role has potential for huge exposure within the business and would be ideal for anyone with great excel and analytical skills, typically studying towards a business degree.

Main Responsibilities

• Rent-a-Car revenue, pricing and utilisation performance analysis
• Monthly production, distribution & analysis of Rent-a-Car location scorecards.
• Recommend assumptions used in Investor Business Plans regarding revenue by model, seasonal utilisation, sales channel mix/performance
• Generating and presenting financial performance summaries for VWG brands.
• Analysis of key data to provide investigation and commentary around key metrics highlighting trends and opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.
• Assist and develop with new E-learning platform ensuring Rent-a-Car branding is shown throughout.
• Training needs analysis and preparing training materials from e-learning data and reporting.
• Presenting to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Analyse mystery shop data from an external supplier and present findings & outline areas to improve to key stakeholders to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Principal Contacts / Working Relationships

• Volkswagen Group (Network Development team, Brand Directors) – collaborating with and presenting Rent-a-Car data to VWG brands ensuring key metrics are included.
• VWFS internal stakeholders (Fleet Sales Team, Marketing, User Management, Finance, Risk) – collaboration with key support functions to ensure Network Development activities progress efficiently and align with internal processes
• Regional Sales and Operations team – Daily interaction and collaboration to ensure any changes to location activity are updated in Network Development reporting and processes. Suggesting any quality improvements to Rent-a-Car operational processes ensuring maximum profitability.
• Rental Locations (potential & existing) – regular interaction to build strong relationships with Rental Managers & their in-house Finance departments to obtain and analyse monthly profit & loss accounts, suggesting any changes to improve profitability and quality.
• Network Development Key Suppliers – regular interaction for process improvements and identify key training opportunities

Decision Making Scope

• Make recommendations to Network Growth & Quality Manager based on profit & loss analysis, location scorecards & mystery shop reports to ensure maximum profitability and quality is proven at each Rent-a-Car location.

Key Challenges

• Manage multiple stakeholder requests & expectations at any one time
• Prioritising workload to meet deadlines
• Building and developing reports using various data sources

Education, Training and Experience

• Studying towards a business or reporting focussed degree
