Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I deliver compliance training both internally and externally, courses vary from half days to three days. Some days I deliver training, design resources, coordinate training, and complete admin tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoyed the content of my programme and the additional learning provided by Wakefield Council

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, many. I have become more confident, grown in my interpersonal skills, great at public speaking, life saving first aid skills, and networking

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Wakefield Council provide good structure and layout, ensuring we have time to learn on the job and through training
How much support do you receive from your employer?

100% - regular checkins, kind words, always a phone call away if needed, Sheridan has been an incredible support to me
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Some - my coach [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was very good and helpful but I found the support team less so - not great communication, no guidelines for assessments and no support recording my project
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has definitely helped give me the knowledge to do my job better as I understand the inner workings more
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes many - plenty of social activities, networking opportunities, learning events, chances to meet councillors and chief executive

Why?
I have had so much support, learnt a lot, done lots of additional training, and I am looking forward to taking on a permanent role with them. This apprenticeship has changed my life
