Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As an Organisational Development Advisor, I support the organisation in achieving strategic objectives and fostering a positive workplace culture. I collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, promote an inclusive culture, improve the employee experience, lead change initiatives, and manage performance/wellbeing projects. My role is vital in creating a thriving work environment where employees feel valued and motivated.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The apprenticeship offers hands-on experience, enhancing my career development by providing practical skills and industry knowledge. It helps me to foster personal growth through mentorship, teamwork, and problem-solving. I have gained more confidence, built professional networks, and developed a strong foundation for future opportunities as a result of the programme.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed new skills in project management by leading various initiatives, which involved planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure they meet organisational goals. I have gained expertise by designing and implementing programmes that enhance employee satisfaction and productivity. This has included conducting surveys, analysing feedback, and creating action plans to address employee needs and foster a positive work environment.
Additionally, I have improved my persuasion skills by engaging in activities that require influencing and motivating others. This has involved presenting compelling arguments, negotiating with stakeholders, and building consensus to drive organisational change and achieve strategic objectives.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The apprenticeship programme is well-structured, with regular check-ins with both my tutor and an assessor to ensure support and progress tracking. Balancing work and apprenticeship responsibilities can be challenging, but these interactions help manage the workload effectively.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive support from my employer regarding my apprenticeship. This includes dedicated time to undertake studies and write assignments, as well as opportunities for shadowing and mentoring. Additionally, I benefit from guidance provided by both current and previous students, which enriches my learning experience and professional growth.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The provider has given good support to help me gain qualifications, ensuring I have the resources and guidance needed to succeed. While I would appreciate more teaching time, the tutor is always available to assist when needed. I am still undertaking the qualification and feel confident in my progress thanks to this support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification has significantly enhanced my ability to perform better in my role. The knowledge and skills I have acquired are directly applicable to my daily responsibilities, enabling me to contribute more effectively to the organisation success.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are numerous opportunities at my workplace to engage in social activities. I chair a women staff network, which allows me to connect with colleagues and advocate for important issues. Additionally, I attend various networking events and training sessions, and I have access to shadowing opportunities that enhance my professional development.
