Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I assist in the day to day projects and tasks within the Physics Department, as directed by my supervisor. No two projects are the same, just as no two days are the same.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Everyone on the course is so friendly, and I definitely feel that I can ask any questions that I need to.
My team at work is equally supportive, especially considering current challenges.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've developed my soldering, in addition to learning how to do Surface Mount soldering as well.
I've also been taught more mechanical skills, such as milling, turning, maintenance, and fluid dynamics.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is reasonably well structured, and flexible enough to account for unexpected challenges. Assistance is available if you ask for it, and is of good quality.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My manager is always available to answer any questions I have, and can point me in the direction of anyone that knows if he doesn't.
There is also a very good mental health support system.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My advisor has been very helpful when it comes to guidance for my qualifications.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Given that the programme is a broad and general qualification, it has helped as much as it can, and the specific areas that related to my field were useful. The rest of the knowledge was also interesting to learn, and it may come in handy in the future.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are plenty of physics based lectures and talks I can attend, although there may be more activities that aren't happening due to current circumstances.
