Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work on publicising our events and events of interest across the university on our website, social media and external websites like Eventbrite and Cvent. I help run social media campaigns such as for LGBT History Month and International Women's Day. I help create social media graphics for these on sites such as Canva. I deliver communications to staff, academics and students using our channels on emails and Canvas. I help monitor shared inboxes and respond to queries on social media. I produce reports on campaigns and social media engagement to drive improvements.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I have only just started two months ago, but it's difficult to balance having not enough delegated tasks to do and having too many, leading sometimes to boredom and overwhelm. But when this balance is struck, I feel fulfilled in my job and a valued member of the team.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learned lots already about new software, professionalism in communications and running large departmental events.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My line manager is getting used to working with an apprentice, but she is very supportive and present.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
It gives me a general idea but not always relevant - I am doing a business administration course. Some weeks are more relevant, for example marketing.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
My department are great as we do weekly walks, runs, football games and cake.
