Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As part of the Conference and Events team I was involved in managing event logistics from initial enquiry through to being present on the day of the event. This involved communication with clients via email, in person and over the phone, conducting venue tours, booking catering, liaising with internal teams like facilities and site teams.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I think it was a really good way to gain experience in a specific job role and to be hands on from the beginning.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Developed customer service, attention to detail and using systems like Excel, word and event management systems.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The apprenticeship training was online with the provider 'GingerNut Training'. I would attend weekly/monthly group or 1-1 sessions with my tutor.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My manager was very supportive throughout the apprenticeship as well as other members of the events team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Attended 1:1 sessions and group sessions with my tutor for the role. Ahead of the exams my tutor went through practice mocks with me to help prepare. Easily accessible via email or teams for questions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Very useful. Qualification was very broad so allowed me to gain information regarding the role I am in but also other event roles.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
