Register Your Interest - Executive and Strategy Placement

Primary Purpose of the Job

Working within the Executive team this role will assist in the planning of all strategic and executive activities, assist in the planning and preparation of all Board meetings, Sustainability activity & meetings, manage action plans and enterprise deliverables whilst supporting the team with numerous key projects.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support, co-ordination and facilitation of meetings, workshops and committees related to a variety of Executive and Strategic activity
  • Produce monthly action plans including tracking, monitoring and updating all activity and deliverables
  • Support the co-ordination, planning and reporting of VWFS Sustainability activity facilitation of the Undergraduate projects and sharing expectations throughout the year.
  • Act as Point of contact for all Executive and Strategic related activities and manage the Executive Teams inbox and calendar
  • Support the team members in each of their business lead roles including proactively identifying improved ways of working
  • Under guidance of the Exec team undertake research and investigation for key topics for inclusion in comprehensive recommendations and business benefits cases
  • Support Exec team in sponsored investigations, fact finds and special projects
  • Support the Executive and Strategy Manager with executive level business support including Board of Directors, Statutory Board of Management, VWG BoM and Supervisory Board, ABS/Regulatory and Statutory reporting and Headquarters

Principal Contacts / Working Relationships

  • All members of the Strategy & Executive team on a daily basis
  • Regular dialog with all members of Board of Management and Senior leadership Teams
  • Employees of VWFS, providing advice and guidance on Exec and Strategic related matters
  • Sustainability Forum members and Undergraduate cohort
  • Internal Comms, Compliance, Facilities, IT, Business insight and Commercial development whilst supporting the team in their Business Lead roles

Decision Making Scope

The job incumbent can make most general decisions relating to their areas of responsibility. This will include how he/she manages his/her workload, what advice is given to Departments / employees (this advice is usually given as a result of existing guidelines)

Key Challenges

  • Complex and confidential information that needs to be analysed and managed with no errors.
  • Volume of and complexity of work will require ongoing prioritisation for successful delivery

Education, Training and Experience

  • Studying towards a Business, Commercial or Finance based degree
  • Good Microsoft skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Teams
  • Ability to research and investigate topics and produce summary information as requested

Skills and Personal Characteristics Required

  • Able to communicate clearly and confidently with all individuals (delegates, suppliers and internal stakeholders) both verbally and in writing.
  • Good organisation skills with the ability to deal with a large variety & volume of tasks in a busy environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Use own initiative to answer questions, solve queries and find solutions.
  • Good excel skills, ability to analyse data
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
