I manage a team of meter technicians, My role includes but not limited to performance management, onsite welfare visits, investigations and conducting hearings.

My role as an apprentice is to learn while being on the job and take on board the information the other guys give you.

E.on Next have been very supportive on my apprenticeship and given me the time off that i have needed to complete my work. my tutor at Bud has been very supportive and been there to help me when I need it.

I install street lighting columns. Dig out holes. Fit base kits. General duties cleaning

My role consists of over looking cable jointers and getting a feel for the job most of the time also consists of a lot of yard duties eg cleaning the yard and sitting in the office

We install street lighting and cable joint, this would be a normal day however sometimes it’s over heads so it is on a wooden column and has to be changed that way in a mewp.

Assist the jointer

As an apprentice I am required to help and support other workmen in my workplace in a safe manner wearing the correct pep at all times.

Swapping old street lights for new street lights and digging out the street lights to get to the live cables. Disconnect, take out the existing colum and connect the new colum

Carrying out repairs or up and on or remove and re install or lantern replacement

Learning and experiencing the work that takes place on the lighting and grid side of eon including, removing and installing street furniture, repairs and inspections.

Manage a group of front line support staff

Field Team leader - This involves managing a team of meter technicians who fit smart meters. I manage their daily performance ensuring they hit targets against metrics such as completion rate and aborted rate. Also average number of assets fitted per day....

good course and taught ne things I have know in the passed but a good refresh ad update and a good opportunity to get to a job I wanted, still waiting on my certificate
