This job involves many different activities on a day to day basis, which can include anything from carry out simple tasks to project work and then you also have to planning and computer work side to the job.

Carrying out maintenance on the aircraft and learning from other technicians and licensed engineers about the aircraft and how to improve my skills. Marshalling and refuelling of the aircraft.

I am at college currently three days a week until June. Wednesdays and Thursdays are spent on site at Babcock. At Babcock, I am given specific jobs to create through the use of hand tools and turning.

I carry out day-to-day engineering tasks, mainly focused around welding. This includes things such as cutting and preparing metal, as well as the actual welding process itself.

I really enjoy the apprenticeship as I am payed when learning new things that I now very much am enjoying as well as also meeting new people in my course

Sheet metal or plate work. I will fill out a risk assessment before each task and enjoy making the projects I am required to make.

In my role as a fabricator, I work with metal to manipulate it into the desired shapes showed to me from the drawings, this can include things like welding, thermal cutting and just general labor working with metal.
