My programme is enjoyable as each day is different and it allows me to think freely and also work on skills and things which I enjoy doing each day.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed my welding skills as well as my critical thinking skills and creativity. This is due to the fact that this job requires you to think for yourself a lot and overcome problems which occur whilst doing a variety of tasks.

Structure and Support

This programme has undergone a lot of changes since I have been there, with new equipment, a new training centre and a trainer to teach everyone whilst on sight. Weston College is also very insightful and has provided good theoretical and practical experience.

4/5
I receive plenty of support from my training provider, giving me assistance where I need it and helping me to gain and develop skills.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It has helped me to be more mindful when I am at work and given me a better understanding of what I am doing, whilst also giving me a better idea of what risks may come from doing certain tasks.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are social activities for the apprentices and also a residential during your first year to meet other apprentices across Babcock's sites across the UK.
