Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role is to be able to contribute to projects by supporting the delivery of a design outcome by following instruction or advice from a more senior designer. Roles can include Design research, Service design, UX design or Visual design.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
IBM provided me with targeted opportunities to gain experience and exposure in the areas I was interested in, which has allowed me to expand my knowledge and skills in those areas.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have developed strong presentation and communication skills for my design work and have gained valuable experience working on a project from research to final development. I am adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and have a track record of delivering impactful design solutions that drive business success.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received much more support that I expected from IBM IX, task manager and a general manager to make sure I am okay with the work load and getting the most out of my internship.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I had a positive experience working at IBM, where everyone was friendly and supportive. I appreciated how inclusive the culture was, and how I was included in events that helped me to feel like part of the team. Through these opportunities, I was able to make valuable connections and expand my professional network.
