Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The programme involved presentations from various teams across Rothschild global advisory, opportunities for Q&A, shadowing of the debt advisory team, and a concluding case study project which was assessed by a panel. Other workshops included insight into Rothschild's work within the community and a case study workshop.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Rothschild & Co did an excellent job of providing detailed presentations across all business areas both within global advisory and beyond. This provided stronger insight into my potential opportunities and the firm's overall operations. The programme also thouroughly covered the roles within graduate schemes and internship programmes.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Through the programme, the key skills I was able to develop were collaboration, presentation, communication, financial evaluation, and analytical skills. A fairly new skill I gained the ability to analyse an M&A opportunity for viability and potential synergies.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Rothschild & Co very clearly has built a strong company culture, partly supported by the family's involvement in the business. The culture exhibited a focus on support, training, providing excellence, and building long term relationships.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I found the insight programme incredibly helpful in giving me firsthand experience of the company's culture. I was able to gain a much broader understanding of the firm and global advisory while being able to effectively assess my fit with the company.
