Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

The programme provided a valuable introduction to Rothschild & Co and the different areas of its business, including Global Advisory, Wealth Management and Equity Research. Each day involved a combination of sessions with professionals, technical learning and practical exercises, giving me an insight into the firm's work, culture and the range of career opportunities available. It also provided opportunities to develop my teamwork, communication and analytical skills in a professional environment.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was insightful to learn about the different divisions within Rothschild & Co and the roles available across the business. Hearing directly from professionals about their responsibilities and career journeys helped me better understand the breadth of opportunities within financial services and where my own interests might lie.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture was welcoming, collaborative and professional. Employees were approachable and willing to share their experiences, creating an environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and engaging with different teams. There was also a strong sense of professionalism and high standards, which gave me a positive impression of the firm's working environment.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I thoroughly enjoyed the insight and found it both engaging and rewarding. It gave me a valuable opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals, gain practical experience and develop a clearer understanding of the financial services industry. I particularly appreciated the opportunity to put what I had learnt into practice and receive feedback from senior investment bankers.
