My role is to help out the optometrists by booking/ arriving customers, completing pre checks, dispensing spectacles and fitting them.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme because they listen to my needs and tailor my experience to fit whats best for me to be able to thrive at this role. They also support me whenever I need.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have grown confidence via communication as well as developing more role specific skills such as learning about how to fit glasses and book appointments.

It is very well organised with 4h work time a week and lots of experience on the shop floor.
