Every day worked in my team to deliver day to day tasks and projects with the other interns. Was constantly learning and gaining more knowledge about insurance

We were given the space to be independent and to learn for ourselves. We were given a job and were responsible to complete at the best standard

During my internship, I developed strong technical, analytical and communication skills. I gained practical experience in aviation insurance, including reviewing lineslips, policy wording, renewals and market enquiries, while developing my Excel, research and data-management skills. I also strengthened my attention to detail, compliance awareness and ability to communicate with different stakeholders. Working on projects and presentations with colleagues across the business further developed my teamwork, problem-solving, presentation skills and confidence

I received a strong level of support and guidance throughout my internship. The Aviation team gave me the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibilities while being available to answer questions and provide feedback when needed. I was able to work closely with experienced members of the team and learn from their knowledge of the aviation insurance market

I really enjoyed the culture at Lockton. It was welcoming, supportive and collaborative, and I felt that everyone was genuinely willing to take the time to help me learn and develop. Throughout the internship, I had the opportunity to speak with people across different teams and business units, which made the experience feel very inclusive and gave me a much broader understanding of the business.
