Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
HR placement year: rotational structure between HR Operations, HR Management & Support and the Employee Relations team. It has involved various project work, and also day-to-day tasks such as absence and overtime tracking and further data analysis.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I feel I was given a large amount of responsibility considering this was a placement year, for example I was able to support the HR director on her Recognition Project. Working alongside someone so senior at such an early stage of my career is an opportunity I will never take for granted.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Developed a variety of soft and hard skills including: presenting, ideation, both written and verbal communication, project management, time management, adaptability and more. Without a doubt, both my commercial awareness and self-confidence are the two areas I have been able to develop the most significantly in with the opportunities provided to me throughout.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I have received ample support and guidance. I have a mentor and buddy to go to alongside my line manager (whom I had weekly 121s with). The Early Careers team at Muller was exceptional with their general wellbeing support too.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Works within separate business units and I was based within MMI which I found was very inclusive, lots of ERGs and everyone was very approachable.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement year here and am very sad to be leaving. I feel I have grown so much as a person as well as now having increased experience and knowledge. I would recommend doing a placement year and working at Muller to anyone, without a doubt.
