How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
Direct manager was very supportive throughout the year.
The rest of my team was not.
The early careers team was good for the general running of the intern programmes and check ins, but any issues that were raised were not addressed or dealt with properly.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Differed throughout business units.
MMI is very positive but MYD was not, and did not make an effort with the intern cohort.
Most teams weren't approachable unless you worked directly with them.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed my role and tasks and found the day to day opportunities and interactions generally positive. However this was negatively impacted by my experiences with individuals and teams throughout the business not being patient or supportive, which had a huge overall impact resulting in me not enjoying the year.
A lot of potential opportunities were declined on my behalf from my team.

Ensure you form strong bonds with other interns who WILL support you throughout the year.
Don't rely on early careers support for major issues.
