To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It was very informative and colleagues were supportive and helpful. Learnt lots of new things and skills along the way.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learnt lots of new skills regarding optics as that was very new to me. There was a lot more than I expected to being an optical assistant, and learning these skills at my own pace helped me build more confidence in my ability.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

4 hours a week of learning off the shop floor and the rest of the time putting that into practice. Regular calls with apprenticeship team and feedback on journals.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots of support received from employer. The training was great and colleagues were friendly and helpful. Went at your own pace and never felt rushed to progress.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Training provider was always avaliable to contact if needed and the response time would never be too long.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
