Risk Analyst Review

I was involved in risk management for a vehicle leasing company- this involved analysing the overall market and economy to see the impact on the sector the business was operating in. I then also did a role more focused on the sector and another role focused on the products exclusively.

I was given a significant amount of responsibility which gradually increased as I gained more experience in my various roles. This was incredibly rewarding and equally motivating, pushing me to do a good job to take on more tasks.

I managed to learn excellent time management and improve my ability to learn from others. I also developed an understanding of how ‘work’ works and also worked on my communication skills along the way.

I received a lot of support and guidance via various internal schemes which ensured that I was always aware of who to contact for any issue or training. Furthermore, I felt like the company spent a lot of effort to ensure I was supported during the pandemic.

The company culture was absolutely great- everybody was very welcoming and friendly. This made it a great experience and with the general atmosphere very relaxed I was able to feel very comfortable and proactive.

I loved my placement because it was a great opportunity for me to greatly develop my skills whilst contributing to meaningful work. Furthermore, it provided me with a new perspective going into my final year at university.
