Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Being part of data engineering product teams, building and maintaining data solutions and pipelines to inform strategic decisions across the business. Day to day involves writing code, building dashboards, analysing data and fixing bugs.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I love the work and company as well as my team and throughout my time at Motability I've enjoyed every step and I've been able to learn significantly more than I think I would via other routes. I've also had a lot of opportunity to get involved in recruitment, apprenticeship events internally and externally, presentations and tech events both internally and externally.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt everything relevant to my role throguhout the apprenticeship, including coding languages such as sql and python, as well as ways of working in agile methodologies, best practices, design principles and much more.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The structure is clear but flexible, this makes it much easier to get things done without feeling intense pressure , while also still having clear tasks and instructions at each step.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support is amazing from both management and team members, I've never felt a lack of support and I have always been able to learn from and lean on others when I needed to gain relevant knowledge as well as being able to seek out opportunities for growth.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

There was support sessions regularly and options available for additional tutoring and coaching, however it was hard to get practical support from the sessions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

In the middle, since I've gravitated closer to data engineering than analysis, the skills learnt via training has been less relevant since day to day I cover much more depth and different concepts than taught in training, however the training is still relevant to the subject area.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are a number of networks to take advantage of to participate and socialise with others, there is also opportunity to visit external events too.

Why?
It's a great place to work and everyone is kind and helpful, I don't often feel stressed at work and I feel comfortable to voice any opinions or concerns.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Motability Operations?
An important thing considered is the quality of person you are alongside hard skills. I think there is a specific culture at Motability and I think that is usually a big part to consider when deciding who to choose for a role
