Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
- Intern to the Chief of Staff for UKI GM, supporting a mix of strategic, operational, and project-based work.
- Help with research, prepare meeting materials, track key initiatives, and follow up on action items to keep projects, priorities, and communications running smoothly.
- Work across different teams and initiatives, gaining exposure to how strategy is developed, decisions are made, and the business operates day to day.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, definitely. I was trusted with meaningful work rather than just administrative tasks. I had ownership over several projects and was expected to manage my time, communicate with stakeholders, and proactively drive things forward, which helped me learn a lot and develop professionally.

Yes, I developed my communication, project management, and analytical skills significantly. I learned how to structure research, prepare materials for senior stakeholders, track initiatives, and manage competing priorities. The experience also improved my ability to think strategically and understand how different parts of a business work together to achieve broader goals.
