Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves multiple rotational placements across the different divisions of the waste group as well as 2 week period blocks at college - which is on site, as well as time doing some office work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It's alright, the salary is above the average of what apprentices earn in the UK in general but the workload is sometimes sporadic and the college periods are not well planned out.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

How to compete various documents and physical training. I got the opportunity to learn about masks and suits as well as go in them (not suits as I am still not suit trained). I also got the chance to redevelop prior skills that I started developing in secondary school that are more focused towards chemistry and physics.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program has a clear annual structure of where we are supposed to be and everything but the college period is unorganised with multiple period of doing nothing which is a little disappointing. Also a lot of the placements did not actually have things for us to do.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We are listened to and getting in contact with people is quite easy but nothing really happens - they'll listen but nothing really changes.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They are readily available to contact but seem to lack some knowledge and not have planned out the time with us properly. They give us a good amount of time to achieve our KSB's and everything.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The knowledge gained helps me understand how things work on site which is important but most skills gained on the placement rotations are more important/ valuable.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Lots of extra curricular activities, societies, networking events for all types of settings and individuals which is absolutely great!
