I work on mainly external marketing, such as newsletters or email campaigns. I also get involved in running and helping with events. My job presents itself with so many opportunities in different areas of communications and I never feel bored at work.

Definitely, my content creation for marketing campaigns has improved significantly. Also social skills such as presenting and public speaking has improved. There is always someone who wants to help you improve so whatever trait i need upskilling, I know I can find someone to help me

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I always have specific allotted time to complete my actual course with my course provider. The work/college/life balance is perfect, I always have the time I need to complete my work to the best of my abilities, without it ever making me stress and dig into time past my working hours.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I get lots of support. My manager and colleagues always check in on how I am doing, and if I am mentally and personally doing okay. I know if I am struggling that colleagues/my manager will help me wherever needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My trainer is very supportive. She always checks up on me and makes sure I understand all my learning. With my work submissions I get great feedback so I always feel like I am improving
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Everything I learn through the course, I have been able to apply to my work. It definitely has helped me when carrying out my work and I feel like my knowledge and work ability is always improving thanks to my training provider.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is loads, such as out of office training courses to improve skills you deem necessary. There is a gym and 5 a side football and many other activities to take part in at work.

Why?
My whole experience has been so positive. All the staff are amazing and I settled in so quickly, it know feels all familiar. The onboarding team and early careers are very informative and helpful, this really helped me in not feeling too nervous on the first few days as I felt already part of the team. The workload is so interesting and fun, yet holds a challenge, really making you feel like you're making a difference within the organisation/
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to UK Atomic Energy Authority?
Be yourself and put yourself out there. There is a wide range of job opportunities to appeal to everyone, so make sure to do all the interview preparation and try your best - it's definitely worth it!
