As an apprentice I get involved in various projects around my department and contribute in small ways to their success by delivering: Reports, Code, Hardware and support.
I am often given interesting work which allows me to explore the robotics industry at my own pace.

I have learned many things about electronics and their design,
Robotics simulation software.
Even practical tasks like soldering are open to me.
Hardware embedded programming and development.
Programming languages such as C,C++,Python,Js,Html.
Learned Basics of Linux workflows and network traversal.
Most everything I have learned on the job is useful for myself personally.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My training with the provider does not have much to do with my role and is all related to general engineering.
It is nice to have a foundation of knowledge to base future decisions but it is not precise to my role so does not really affect performance in any way.
But as a person it helps me grow.

Huge number of extra-curricular activities available ranging from sports, events, social activities, networking events and more I probably forgot exist.
I like to use the site tennis courts with my collogues.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to UK Atomic Energy Authority?
Most apprentices hear present themselves as go getters ready to tackle any task with vigour.
That's not me per-Se but it is a common trait among our apprentices.
Be sure to produce a clean CV with a nice image and present some relative experience, work or project to the hiring officer.
In my case my hobbies and interests where quite relevant.
