Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Running multiple reports on Excel, and developing these reports to create new views for different purposes. Aside from that, lots of ad-hoc tasks to support sellers and event assistance.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

The amount of responsibility I was given was hugely variable dependent on who I was working with and what the task was. Overall, I would say that I was given a medium amount of responsibility.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Technically, I have become far more proficient on Excel. I am also much more aware of the breadth of technology pervading business. Finally, I have certainly developed soft skills such as communication, teamwork and self-management.

Support and guidance was always available to me should I ask for it, but you have to be willing to seek it out yourself as you will not be spoon-fed.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very sociable environment. Easy to strike up conversations with your colleagues around the office. An enjoyable atmosphere to be a part of.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. I was given enough work and responsibility to develop as a professional but I was equally enabled to network and build friendships in a sociable environment.
