Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Every day it varies but we do bait of everything mechanical and electrical including changing pumps, motors, light fittings, chemical lines, tray work, running cables, this also includes doing process related work such as doing routine work on sites so making sure things are running, chemicals being dosed to their set points, logging run hours and such.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

it has been a great experience so far and still learning and being pushed to learn, with helpful mentors and managers who keep pushing me and only want me to succeed.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

learnt various skills whether that is stripping different types of cables, testing cables for various reasons, testing circuits, chemical training, confined spaces, transients, sampling, and various other skills I have learnt along the way.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

is it pretty well organised however it could definitely use with some improvement around timings between college and the workplace to make sue that the theory is being expanded on whilst at work from college
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer and there is always a solid line of communication and I can always get a hold of my apprentice leader, my mentor or my manager.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

quite alot of support is received from our training provider however because of the distance you can't do face to face meetings outside of the college weeks.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

it definitely helps with understanding the theory behind what we are doing however doesn't really expand into much to do with other things like plumbing or water specific training.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

there are professional networking events, however there are no social activities or sports teams that I know of.

Would you recommend Anglian Water to a friend?
Yes
Why?
it is a great place to be, it is a service that is always going to be needed and you are never doing the same thing everyday and with regulations coming into place its always expanding and needing problems to be solved.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Anglian Water?
depending on what your applying for do you research into what your doing for example if your applying for a clean water position know the basics of the process of disinfection and treatment and always be willing to learn.
