My role involves working in the communications team looking after Public Health Initiatives and creating marketing collateral for social media and integrated marketing campaigns.

I enjoy the variety of projects I get to work on, working in partnership with stakeholders.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to manage high profile campaigns across the city and develop strategy to increase uptake in services as well as engage stakeholders across different parts of the business.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The apprenticeship programme is very well structured and clearly organised. Expectations, timelines and responsibilities are communicated well, and there is a clear balance between work-based learning and qualification requirements. Everything runs smoothly, which makes it easy to stay on track and get the most out of the programme.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

The training provider is extremely supportive and responsive. They offer regular office hours, one-to-one sessions, and monthly check-ins to make sure I am progressing well and feeling supported. They have been particularly positive and proactive in providing additional support and reasonable adjustments related to my disability, which has made a huge difference to my learning experience.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My qualification is very relevant to my role and directly supports my development at work. The knowledge and skills I gain through the training provider help me to apply learning in real workplace scenarios, improve my confidence, and perform my role more effectively and professionally.
