Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

4/5
In my role as a Level 2 Apprentice within the warehouse, I support the daily operation of the site by working across different departments to ensure goods move safely and efficiently from receipt through to dispatch.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4/5
I really enjoy my programme. It gives me the chance to learn new skills while doing real work, and I like being able to experience different roles across the warehouse. It’s helped me feel more confident and has made me more motivated about progressing within the company.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

4/5
Yes, I have learned several new skills and also developed some I already had. I’ve improved my understanding of warehouse processes such as picking, packing, inbound work, and I’ve become more confident using warehouse systems. I’ve also developed my communication, teamwork, and time‑management skills, as well as my awareness of health and safety in the workplace.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
It is well organised and structured overall. I have clear guidance on what I need to learn, with support from my workplace mentors (FLM and Manager) and my college mentor, and the programme is paced so I can build my skills gradually while gaining hands‑on experience.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
My FLM and manager are approachable and available when I need guidance, and they regularly check in to make sure I’m progressing well. I also feel supported with training and feedback, which helps me stay confident and motivated in my role.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
I receive support from my training provider. My college mentor is easy to contact, provides clear guidance on my coursework and assessments, and regularly checks my progress. They offer helpful feedback and support whenever I need it, which makes working towards my qualifications much easier and more manageable.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
My qualification helps me a lot in performing better in my role. It gives me a clearer understanding of why tasks are done in certain ways, especially around warehouse processes, safety, and working efficiently. What I learn through my training provider links directly to my day‑to‑day work, which helps me feel more confident, organised, and capable when carrying out my responsibilities.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
There are opportunities to get involved beyond day‑to‑day work, including volunteering, social activities, and team or wellbeing initiatives. These opportunities help build teamwork, boost morale, and allow colleagues to connect with others across the site.
