Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a PMO I am responsible for managing the Financial, Legal, Contractual and Ecosystem partnerships on an end to end basis. I have become proficient in Excel, Monday, PowerPoint and Mural during this role. This entails POs, SOWs (Client and Ecosystem), timesheets, project pricing and releasing, onboarding and hiring, invoicing, etc.
As a Business Analyst I act as the bridge between business needs and technical delivery, ensuring services are designed and built to meet user and organisational goals. In my role I create user stories, acceptance criteria and service blueprints to clearly define requirements and expected outcomes. I host refinement sessions and collaborate closely with development, design and delivery teams, walking them through process maps and user needs so they fully understand how the service should look, function and deliver value.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy my programme as it is engaging and fast paced. Furthermore, everyone on the programme is welcoming and enjoyable to be around.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
During my 2 years on the IBM JMC apprenticeship I have learnt many new skills. These range from personal, technical and work based skills.
For example, I am more confident in communicating with people of different ages, job roles, backgrounds etc. I have also learnt techniques such as PM lifecycle and tech skills around AI and Excel.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very organised programme with logical and structured processes in place.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I gain valuable support from my employer whenever needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The training provider CMI does not contact me. However, those internal at IBM who are foundation managers are very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes towards education needed for the qualification. This leaves me confident in completing my apprenticeship to a good standard.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It is a great opportunity to learn new skills and also understand aspects of the wider business you may not have been knowledgable on. It also shows me areas I need to gain exposure on and allows me to reflect on where I have implemented what I have learnt as well as the effect of this.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes there are many social activities. For example, in summer there was football matches against other firms and all year round there are many socials from an apprentice to programme to company wide side.
