I completed a level 3 apprenticeship with Barnsley Council around 15 years ago. Since then I have progressed in different roles and also undertake further qualifications. At present I am undertaking a level 7 apprenticeship. Barnsley Council has given me the tools and time to be able to do this in and amongst my day to day job and life. They are a supportive employer and encourage employees to further their training and development.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The course is great and even if I feel I am struggling, the support from my employer, colleagues and trainers is amazing.

Yes, the course is teaching me skills to be a better leader and manager

Very well organised and done so well in advance so I can plan for the full course duration

Yes we have various working groups and also teams do plan their own activities also
