Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
It was a brilliant role, and the apprenticeship helped me so much in terms of gaining the skills to thrive in my role.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoyed the programme, it all linked to what I was doing in the workplace which made me want to achieve the highest grades in each assignment and exam that I was given.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Given I joined IBM through an apprenticeship scheme, I came in with no skills, and through the apprenticeship, I learnt technical skills, while also developing time management and growth agility skills as well.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
It was very clearly structured and organised, so as an apprentice, I always knew what I was working towards and what assignments were coming up.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I received support whenever I needed it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Whenever you need support, the training provider is quick to respond to any emails you send them, this could be supporting through a call, sending a long email with help or tips for a certain topic or this could be a group meeting if multiple people were having the same issues.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It helped me to prove that I had the knowledge needed for the role, as I was using everything I learnt on the apprenticeship programme in my day-to-day work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are lots of different activities you can get involved in for example football every Tuesday evening. With Hursley, they run the Hursley games every year where they have certain sports or challenges that you can take part in, and if you have an idea of something you want to do, there is support available to help you create the activity you want to do as well.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend IBM to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I love IBM, the people you work with, the opportunities available and overall, how welcoming everyone is and how keen people are to get you involved in things.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
Go in with an open mind, you don't have to join IBM with the knowledge of exactly what you want to do. The best thing to do is look at the apprenticeships or degree apprenticeships and choose which one suits you the best, once you then complete the apprenticeship, you can decide on maybe trying a new role, or completing another apprenticeship in a different topic.
