Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
The overview of the role including supporting full time employee on pitching and live transactions depend on business needs, day to day involves a variety of tasks including researching, creating pitchbook, etc.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes - amazing exposure since day one, was able to attend management / board meetings from early on in the internship whish was quite overwhelming. Work wise was given a variety range of tasks that full time employees work on on a daily basis. Overall fantastic learning experience.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes - technical wise learned a lot of professional knowledge including accounting basics and valuation methods, also knows much better in terms of how to apply office softwares such as powerpoint, excel, word, outlook, and so much more

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
Very high level of guidance coming from line manager, wider team and buddy. On a day to day basis was able to ask around for any questions to literally anyone whenever needed. Also people are super keen to give guidance in and outside of work!

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Super friendly and supportive given the background of the company and the long running tradition and legacy of the Rothschild family. Additionally staff are super understanding when it comes to issues occurred during / outside of work so super grateful for that.

Be yourself and really understand the core of the business inside out so you can present yourself confidently. Also worth to know the difference between independent advisory firm and other banks!
