Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Supporting the Rail Team working across a number of workstreams. My role involves setting meetings, project planning, producing slide decks, and much more.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme, and this is a great opportunity to develop my skills. The team is great, and create a very supportive work environment.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

In my 5 months on the programme, I have already developed a number of skills I didn't have already, being involved in a number of workstreams, and doing a significant number of skills I haven't used previously.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised, and involves rotation amongst different departments during your time. Within the department I am currently in, I have rotated around different teams. This is great, giving the opportunity to see the range of opportunities available across the organisation.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is a great support network at Transport for Greater Manchester. There is a network of past and current apprentices, who reach out, and offered their support. I found this a massive help, especially at first.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
