Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is very varied. I work within the Customer team, and I am doing an engagement project for the contact centre, where i hold working group sessions and explore improvements and how we can make the contact centre a better place to work, i am also involved in National Contact Centre Day preparations including organising a video to be made.
I am also involved in a few high level company projects, working with a project manager a few days a week, organising communications, meetings, creating templates, reviewing work, chasing management for updates etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really enjoying this programme, I work with senior leaders on a daily basis, I am learning so much and I am being trusted to own my own work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt about budgets, project management techniques, how to keep people engaged and what makes people tick. I have also spoken at a few major meetings

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

We have a very structured programme, by the end of my four years I will have completed six different placements across the business, playing to my strengths and learning different things.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
We get lots of support here, my manager is very flexible and is very supportive with me taking time out for university and off the job hours. I also have weekly 121s with my manager and a project manager to ensure I am on track.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Good support, my current lecturers are brilliant and very helpful. I also have a skills coach to support me through my apprenticeship who gives lots of advice and support
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I am able to take what I am learning in university and apply it to my job at TfGM.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, we have societies and blind coffee meets to get to know more people around the business.
