Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Lockton?
Loved it, it's been a steep learning curve but a great start to my insurance career
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My first rotation was a broking focused role, liaising and negotiating with underwriters with a large social aspect which I enjoyed.
My second rotation has been more heavily client servicing focused running accounts.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

I'm grateful to be well paid but cost of living in London is expensive. Budgeting is a must as rent, bills and food are expensive.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

The grad scheme encourages you to look ahead which is great and the rotations broaden your horizons in areas of the business I may not otherwise have considered.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

The grad scheme put on CII workshops, talks from leaders who are based throughout the business which are great for exposure. Day to Day I am developing new skills

How is the support you receive?

The support has been great, the grad scheme support as been a great reassurance. Within the team support varies but it's great to have the other graduates and buddies to rely on.
How is your work-life balance?

With the requirements of the CII studying on top of day job commitments it can feel like a juggle to manage but I enjoy the social aspect and spending time with the people I work with
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Most people are welcoming, supportive and great to work with.
