Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I was given tasks to relieve the workload of the members of the team, including research, mark-ups (arrows to describe movement of goods/waste), calculations and report writing. I also had an intern project about the different metrics to measure waste management

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was not given much responsibilities as I was doing support tasks for the rest of the team, but I was in charge of my own project (with guidance and feedback from senior members)

I developed my research and synthesis skills, as well as my report writing skills. I think I lso improved my communication skills through email writing and presentations.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

All of my colleagues gave me clear guidance and showed me where the documents were as well as what they were expecting to get from my work. They would often give me feedback and tell me what I did wrong and what to do to avoid the mistakes I made.
