Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Undertake detailed structural engineering design.
Prepare technical schedules.
Plan and manage CAD documentation of design work.
Under guidance of senior staff, represent BuroHappold at meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers.
Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met.
Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, i have been given opportunities tried out real structural design. I am also able to receive useful comments and guidance from senior engineers as well.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Excellent, everyone is hardworking during working hours. The inter personal relationship between colleagues are great. The working environment is good and causal, there are also high flexibility(working from home) for staffs.
