Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I have been here for nearly a month and it is the best experience I have had within a workplace. Everyone is lovely and I felt welcome and at home as soon as I started my first shift. I have undertaken duties in all corners of the store and am on an apprenticeship scheme that allows me to cover all the different areas in specsavers instead of focusing on one individual thing.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it a lot and I am yet to come into work and have a bad day every day has been enjoyable so far.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt and developed loads and loads of new skills whether they be hands on skills or communication skills an working here has also helped me bring out skills that I already had but was unaware of.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It seems well structured so far and there has been clear guidance on what I need to do and where I need to go at all points, not to mention the help I have received in understanding the roles available to me in the future.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

More support than I imagined and I couldn't ask for more after the way they have treated me in the first month, everyone has been fantastic.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Same as before I receive plenty of support in all aspects whether it is how I am doing currently working towards my goals or how I can work towards them in my future.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Everyone has helped me perform better in my role and they only want to see me succeed in my role too.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have some little staff activities that I have been invited to already and felt welcomed to immediately.

Why?
I have learnt so much in such a short time span and have been treated with nothing but respect ]. Everybody welcomed me with open arms and I had no struggles managing to fit in nearly flawlessly with everyone around me. I believe it is the best opportunity I have been presented with in my life so far and I intend on grabbing it with both hands.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Specsavers?
Just be yourself and be confident. They love to see people who really show interest and show intent, but don't be overly confident and be cocky.
