Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves Alot of interesting topics about the eye anatomy and Glasses that i find fun to learn about and perform in my daily job. I find myself always busy and Learning different things throughout which expands my knowledge in optics further.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy the program because i can learn everything about how glasses and Prescriptions work and what eye conditions are out there.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned new skills about dispensing, collections, testing, contact lenses and Audiology. Each are interesting and fun to learn and give me an input on life choices.

My program was been structured well suited to my way of learning which is tailored to my Personal development and further training.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer has given me the best support throughout, prompting and guiding me to learn in different areas before moving up the ladder in harder topics, their ways of teaching and support can help anyone understand.

My Qualification helps me use my math and English skills and genuine skills in work environments like time keeping, listener and positive attitude to work that helps me perform better in this role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The only Social activities we have done so far include our guide dog charity on 30TH August, and nights out to eat or have fun.

Always listen to customers concerns and your instore trainers advice and teach because optics can be a hard job to understand and do because of what's involved.
