Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

could be more learning and theory for the program and different types of learning methods (work shops , lessons with a teacher, books, practice test , ways to communicate to other apprentices and socialise and discuss how were finding the apprentice, set up practical's )
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

meeting people every day is lovely i get to talk to kids and adults help people and make people smile as well as doing essays regular learning and learning how to work in a team i love being part of the Specsavers family the staff are amazing and do try there hardest and I'm very happy to be their first apprentice

not regular learning time not the stores fault

don't see them that often more so communicate with my manager
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

constant calls and reviews on learning and check ups which helps as i have a few difficulty's when it comes to learning
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

i was hopping for more theory work as i assumed that was the majority of the course would be spent improving my skills and knowledge rather then on the shop floor doing the same thing every day
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

no but i would be interested in them as i struggle with socialising and making friends outside of work

its a course that will get me a career in optics and gives me the chance to develop in the future
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Specsavers?
to be a problem solver and quick thinker when dealing with customer complaints as well as being able to remain professional during conflicts
