Definitely a great experience so far. However, this is my 1st job ever, and I do fine some tasks challenging as it's a whole new way of learning and completely different environment then school, but for the better. I feel as though I need to fully complete the Apprenticeship first, before I can give the full 5 stars,
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It does have some similarities to school when it comes to the different websites. e.g. ILearn is similar to a website called, Seneca Learning. This helps me as I already know how to somewhat use and navigate each website. Making it less stressful and more enjoyable with something I'm comfortable using. I've always planned on doing an apprenticeship, and I'm extremely please with how it's not only teaching me customer service skills, but also life skills. Everyone including myself, feels that I've become much more mature when dealing with situations, and a lot more confident when talking to people in public, and face to face communication.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Good, It's easy for me to see what I'm currently working on. and what to do next. But I would say all the different places and downloading files can get a bit complicated.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Plenty, I have a great connection with my employer, and I always go to her whenever I feel is needed, or just for a friendly chat.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I do really feel that they are willing and are helping me through every step of my journey. I've had some darker moments and yet they've helped me keep going and move on, and to keep progressing.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Very well, only thing I'd mention is that sometimes I get confused as I might get taught how to do something differently than what my in-store trainer would of taught me. Causing me not knowing which is truly the right way, but also easiest for me to learn.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have 2 parties throughout each year. 1 for the summer, so like karaoke, dancing, BBQ, Activities, etc.
And the other for Christmas, expect I don't attend those parties as I don't celebrate Christmas.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Specsavers?
Make sure to let yourself have room for improvement, as you may already feel grown up when you start, but sooner then later, all the challenges you may face truly builds strength and maturity. Also, don't let your thoughts overwhelm you, just keep moving forwards and all will be sorted out.
