Intern Review

In P&C Major Accounts I had the chance to appreciate the way Lockton tailor clients service on a broader level. This breadth allowed me to touch on 12 different clients and produce different assistance to each of them. In one of my proudest projects I crafted summaries of local policies a client held in different countries. The summary along with a detailed changes report was essential in shaping the new coverage. It allowed me to meet the client, contact him directly on behalf of the team and become part of the team thus contribute weekly in internal strategy meetings.

I was empowered by the first day. I had the possibility to not only perform single task of broader projects but to deliver the end product to the client. The more I delivered the more I was entrusted which allowed me to join pre renewal strategy meeting, being a core member of a client team and join weekly internal planning meetings. I was sponsored by all my managers which allowed me to reach out to the highest positions of the company and get their insights. I can easily track how from the first day I handled minor task to the last week directly delivering my contribution to the client in person with my team supporting me.

I strengthened my Excel Skills, Presentation skills, Effective Communication in a corporate and client level. I learned how to efficiently contribute to a team to exploit my strengths as well as leave space for others to shine. The daily interactions with people from different level of the organisation taught me how to concisely convey information and efficiently explain the projects I produced. And many more

I had an unexpected manager transition which was the perfect scenario to depict the culture of this company. In that morning all my colleagues reached out for coffee, the early career team checked on me hourly and a new manager volounteered. I was given a whole project straight away which made me reach even higher heights. The head of department set up weekly meetings with me to keep guiding me along the internship
