Summer Intern Review

Mr role as a summer intern placed in the Cyber and Technology involved:
- Reviewing application submissions for companies and what different bits of cyber coverage were included. For example, whether the company has the right controls e.g., multi factor authentication.
- Was involved in a Group Project for 4 weeks which taught me so many valuable lessons in public speaking
- I was given insight to meeting underwriters and seeing how they deal with clients from day to day.
- Another thing I found really cool was doing research on Lloyds and how much it is entrenched in insurance.
- Finally, emailing underwriters that work with Lockton to obtain information for leaflets.

- I was given a huge amount of responsibility throughout my summer internship. Through my group project which allowed us all to work in different teams of 5/6 and left us all to our own devices. In which taught me lots of lessons including time management, and how to execute plans efficiently.
- Another responsibility I was given was through my Business unit assignments which allowed me to email accomplished individuals.

I have learnt so many valuable lessons throughout my internship:
- One being how to work in a team and understanding how different people have different ways of going about their own research.
- another I would say is development in my public speaking, in which we had a session on design thinking workshop which really pushed me me to be out of my comfort zone.
- lastly would be my social skills developed even further and how to operate within certain groups.

So much guidance throughout which taught me so many valuable lessons

So clear from the start how much they care about the up and coming young

Enjoyed my internship so much and it has given me such a big insight to the insurance world that I might not have had if I wasn’t lucky enough to get this internship.
